SUMMARY: Mechanical Technicians are responsible for system repair, maintenance, and overall operation in the semiconductor industry. Systems can include but is not limited to: exhaust systems, chillers, boilers, compressors, pumps, and HVAC.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support of the maintenance of mechanical and process systems
Daily interface with operations personnel and facilities engineers and other technicians to coordinate project work in a live running factory
Completing detailed work plans and workplace documentation
Troubleshooting of controls including wiring and instrumentation etc.
Must be able to execute work plans for maintenance, repair, conversion work to be conducted without any unplanned impacts i.e. rotating equipment, workarounds, and bringing systems back online
Understanding of overall system operations from a facilities standpoint
Troubleshooting of field devices and control hardware and software
Requirements
Requirements:
Associate degree in a Mechanical Engineering Technology field or related with 3+ years of experience in Industrial mechanical systems operations and/or vibration analysis
Strong understanding of HVAC equipment and CHW and HW process systems and operation
Prefer experience with all types of Mechanical instrumentation including Flow, Pressure, Temperature, Humidity, Control Valves, AFD’s etc. installation and application

Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision; Distance vision; Peripheral vision; Depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to wear personal protective equipment, including protective eye wear, hard hat, lab coat, gloves, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, and respirators.
Must be able to safely access and traverse indoor and outdoor obstacles for site inspections, including climbing ladders, walking on stairs, catwalks, and other types of uneven surfaces where activity inspections are needed.
