Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Mechanic role in Sherwood, OR. Key Responsibilities:
Assemble and install mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components on heavy machinery and equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions to ensure proper installation.
Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to complete assemblies.
Perform functional tests and quality inspections to ensure equipment meets specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical system issues during assembly.
Follow safety protocols and company procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve assembly processes and resolve issues.
Maintain an organized and clean workspace while adhering to lean manufacturing principles.
Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience as an Assembly Mechanic, Equipment Assembler, or similar role in heavy equipment or industrial manufacturing.
Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
Proficiency in using hand tools, torque wrenches, and measurement equipment.
Basic understanding of welding, machining, or fabrication is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical degree or certification in Mechanical Assembly, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
Experience working with cranes, forklifts, or large industrial machinery.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement processes.
