A furniture manufacturing company in Thomasville is seeking a Mechanism Assembler. Will be assembling the mechanisms inside the recliners that makes the foot rest go up and down and the chair recline backwards and forwards.
Chairs are electric.
Job Responsibilities:
Assemble the internal mechanisms used in electric recliners
Install components that allow the footrest to extend and the chair to recline
Use hand tools, including electric drills, to assemble parts
Read and follow measurements using a tape measure
Follow assembly instructions and quality standards
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
Must be able to read and use a tape measure
Must know how to safely operate a drill
English or Spanish-speaking candidates are welcome to apply
Ability to perform heavy lifting
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Previous assembly or manufacturing experience is a plus
Work Environment:
Hot manufacturing/warehouse environment
Comfortable clothing is permitted, including shorts and T-shirts
Closed-toe shoes are required (no flip-flops or sandals)
