    Description

    Hummingbird Scientific is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of instrumentation aimed to advance scientific research. This role is ideal for experienced professionals with a background in mechatronics or precision engineering.     As a Mechatronics Engineer at Hummingbird Scientific, you'll be a part of a global engineering team. You'll take full ownership of designing and testing complete mechanical / mechatronics systems - from initial concept through final release and product testing.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

    Requirements<\/h3>

    Key Qualifications:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>

    <\/span><\/span><\/p>

    • Demonstrated experience in designing, building and testing integrated mechatronics systems<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

    <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>

    • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles (Kinematics, Dynamics, System Design)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

    <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>

    • 2D/3D CAD expertise - SolidWorks or equivalent<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

    <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>

    • Proficiency with mechanical drawings and GD&T<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

    <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>

    • <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Understanding of electronics, electronics design, testing, and hands-on electrical systems implementation.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

    <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>

    • Committed individual who takes ownership of projects and timeline<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

    <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ul>

    Education and Experience:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>

    <\/span><\/span><\/p>

    • BS in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering, MS or PhD is a plus<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

    <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>

    • 3-5 years of relevant experience in industry with product development and system design<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

    <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>

    • <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Professional experience in LabVIEW or equivalent product software development<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

    <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ul>

    <\/span>Optional Qualifications:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b><\/p>

    • Background in precision engineering is a plus<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

    <\/li>

    • Prior experience in scientific instrumentation or research environments<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

    <\/li>

    • Product testing experience<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

    <\/li><\/ul>
