    Description

    The Mechatronics Test Engineer is responsible for the creation and execution of test programs, plans, and methods for subsystem verification tests and complete system verification and validation tests to support new technology and product development programs. This includes the design and operation of test benches, instrumentation selection, data processing, and reporting. You will be accountable for turning raw measurement data into clear engineering insights that drive design decisions.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Identify proper test plans and equipment needed based on program development stages
    • Design, commission, and operate test benches for robotic systems including actuators, batteries, sensors, cameras
    • Perform complete system verification and validation testing to ensure successful development of new technologies and products in robotics and automation
    • Process and analyze test data to determine performance metrics
    • Create test reports that compare results against specifications, to feed back into design cycle
    • Support new technology and product development programs
    • Collaborate with engineers across various disciplines
