Position Highlights -

  • Lead our Medicine-Pediatrics Residency Program which consists of 8 residents per year, making this program one of the two largest Medicine-Pediatrics residency programs in the Northeast.
  • Baystate Medical Center is a 716-bed independent academic medical center with 32 residency and fellowship programs and is also a teaching site of the UMass Chan Medical School-Baystate.
  • Baystate Children’s Hospital is the only fully accredited children’s hospital in Western Mass with 107 beds (55 NICU, 7 PICU and 45 Child and Adolescent unit) and a specific pediatric emergency department. Baystate Children’s Specialty Center houses ten ambulatory pediatric subspecialties and a general pediatric primary and complex care ambulatory practice. Baystate Children’s Hospital is home to a categorical pediatrics residency (9 residents per year).
  • Faculty appointment in both the Departments of Medicine and Pediatrics

  • Population-Based Urban & Rural Community Health (PURCH) track enrolls 30 medical students per year with a focus on innovative approaches to clinical medicine, community engagement and policy/advocacy.

 

Qualifications: Med-Peds trained, ABMS Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Pediatrics and/or their subspecialties. 3+ years’ experience in Graduate Medical Education leadership evidence of progressive management responsibilities within an academic department.

The compensation ranges in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range.  Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range.  Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full-time commitment for exempt employees.

Program Director: $180,000 - $400,000
