JOB LOCATION - Wilkes-Barre General Hospital - Days & Nights available

Position Purpose

The Medical Surgical Licensed Practical Nurse/Graduate Practical Nurse consistently performs his/her duties demonstrating an understanding of the essential job functions as reflected in the Medical Surgical Licensed Practical Nurse/Graduate Practical Nurse job description, department and hospital policies, and regulatory guidelines.  Utilize the nursing process to provide quality patient care under the supervision of the registered nurse.

Position Qualifications

Education:

Experience/Specialized Skills/Aptitudes

Clinical expertise, teaching/instructing, clerical accuracy, communication skills, listening abilities, independent thinking/sound judgment; ability to deal with stress, able to react to emergency and crisis situations, committed to quality of care. 

Licenses/Certificates:

Current PA Practice Permit/ Practical Nurse license

BLS required must be completed prior to the end of orientation period
