• Schedule: 3 Nights per Week
• Timing: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
The Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a 22-bed Critical Access Hospital.
This role involves caring for adult patients, supervising support staff, and ensuring adherence to clinical and regulatory standards in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
• Provide nursing care to assigned Med/Surg patients
• Monitor patient conditions and administer medications
• Deliver safe and effective patient-centered care
Patient Care & Safety
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to care standards
• Support adult patient populations
• Follow infection control and safety protocols
Team Leadership & Collaboration
• Supervise LPNs, Nursing Assistants, and other staff
• Act as charge nurse when assigned
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team
Documentation & Compliance
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
• Follow documentation and reporting protocols
Must-Have Qualifications
• Minimum 2+ years of clinical nursing experience
• Active Illinois RN License (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required)
• ACLS Certification (Required)
• Experience in Med/Surg adult patient care
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in Critical Access Hospital settings
• Experience in rural healthcare environments
• Strong leadership / charge nurse experience
