What you will be doing:
Provide direct nursing care to medical surgical patients in accordance with hospital standards and nursing best practices
Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and respond quickly to changes in clinical status
Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician
Develop and initiate individualized computerized Plans of Care upon admission
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to support optimal patient outcomes
Deliver culturally competent care that supports each patient's physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record
Support patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards
Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and strong communication with patients, families, and care team members
Assist in other departments when needed and qualified to ensure continuity of patient care
What you must have:
Education
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
Licensure & Certifications
Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Oregon
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Preferred
Certified Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN)
Previous Medical Surgical nursing experience
