This Med-Surg RN opportunity is located in Panama City, FL at a 238-bed acute care hospital that serves as the region's only facility with a Level III NICU, a dedicated Pediatric ICU, and the community's only Pediatric ER. The hospital holds certifications in Advanced Primary Stroke Care and is the area's only Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and Resuscitation, alongside accreditation as a Comprehensive Breast Care Center and certified women's services.

The role. As a Registered Nurse on the Med-Surg unit, you will assess patients on admission and throughout each shift, identifying and escalating changes in condition in a timely manner. You will carry out provider-ordered procedures and monitoring while maintaining thorough, accurate documentation in the medical record. Medication administration is a core responsibility — you will monitor each patient's therapeutic response and act appropriately if an unintended reaction occurs. You will also take an active role in patient and family education, translating complex medical information about diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care into terms patients and caregivers can understand and act on.

What we're looking for.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Registered Nurse Diploma
  • Active Florida RN license or approved multistate compact RN license required; compact license holders must obtain a Florida license within 60 days of relocation
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Acute care RN experience required; experience must be within the past 3 years, or within the past 5 years for candidates with several years of total RN experience; acute care experience does not need to be specific to Med-Surg

Schedule. Position is available on days (7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.) or nights (7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.), both with rotating weekend coverage.

Compensation. $29.92 - $44.88/hr plus SIGN ON: $10k for Days / $15k for Nights Relo: case by case Night Diff: $4/h (No weekend Shift diff)
