A Med-Surg Registered Nurse opportunity is available at a 238-bed acute care hospital in Panama City, FL. The hospital holds Advanced Primary Stroke Care certification, Comprehensive Breast Care Center accreditation, and is the area's only Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and Resuscitation. The facility is also home to the region's only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, and Pediatric ER.

The role. As a Med-Surg RN, you will assess patients at admission and throughout each shift, identifying and promptly reporting changes in condition to the care team. You will carry out provider-ordered procedures and monitoring while maintaining thorough, timely documentation in the patient's medical record. Medication administration is a core responsibility — you will monitor each patient's therapeutic response and intervene appropriately when an unintended response occurs. You will also serve as a patient advocate, educating patients, families, and caregivers about diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up steps, translating complex medical terminology into language they can understand.

What we're looking for.

  • Associate Degree or Registered Nurse Diploma
  • Acute care RN experience required; experience must be within the last 3 years, or within the last 5 years for candidates with several years of RN experience
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.

Schedule. 12-hour shifts available on days (7a–7p) or nights (7p–7a), both with rotating weekends.

Compensation. $29.92 - $44.88/hr plus SIGN ON : Case by case basis; Relo: case by case; Night Diff: $4/h (No weekend Shift diff)
