Media Blasting Technician
Location: Fremont, CA
Shifts Available:
- 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM; Pay: $22.00 per hour
Job Overview
We are hiring a Media Blasting Technician to support surface preparation operations in a manufacturing environment. This hands-on role involves operating blasting equipment, inspecting parts for quality, and maintaining a safe, organized work area. Training is provided for candidates with strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate media blasting equipment to clean, strip, or prepare surfaces
- Select and apply appropriate blasting media based on job requirements
- Inspect parts before and after blasting to verify quality standards
- Perform routine equipment cleaning and basic maintenance
- Record surface roughness (RA) measurements accurately in tracking systems
- Complete daily 6S tasks to maintain a clean and safe workspace
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Maintain accurate production and material usage records
- Assist with other shop or production tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Manufacturing or shop experience preferred but not required
- Ability to follow work instructions and safety guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Comfortable working in a hands-on production environment
- Ability to work assigned shift and stand for extended periods
