Overview
The Media Planner serves as the day-to-day steward of media planning and execution for an assigned brand. This role is responsible for supporting the development of media strategies, managing campaign execution, and ensuring accurate delivery across channels, while building a strong understanding of the client's business and target audiences.
The Planner will contribute to media recommendations and help translate client objectives into effective, insight-driven digital media plans, working closely with the Supervisor and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
Media Planning & Strategy Support
Assist in the development of digital media plans, channel strategies, and tactical recommendations
Contribute to audience development, including identifying priority segments and supporting more targeted approaches
Apply foundational media concepts (reach, frequency, audience delivery) to planning recommendations
Channel & Campaign Management
Support planning and execution across digital and high-impact channels (e.g., online video, CTV, display, paid social, linear)
Maintain accurate flowcharts, budgets, and media authorizations
Track pacing and delivery to ensure campaigns are running according to plan
Execution Oversight & Optimization
Work closely with activation teams to ensure accurate implementation of media plans working closely with the Ad Operations team
Monitor campaign performance and flag delivery or pacing issues
Assist in identifying optimization opportunities based on performance data
Research & Insights
Gather and analyze research (MRI, ComScore, etc.) to support data-driven media recommendations
Help synthesize findings into clear insights for internal teams and client updates
Build foundational understanding of how media contributes to broader business goals (e.g., awareness, visibility)
Client & Partner Collaboration
Support the development of client-ready materials, including plan rationales, updates, and campaign summaries
Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and media partners
Participate in internal and client meetings, contributing to discussions as appropriate
Team Support & Organization
Help manage timelines, deliverables, and priorities across campaigns
Support Supervisor and Director in coordinating across planning, activation, and analytics teams
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS)
1–2 years of media planning experience
Strong understanding of digital media fundamentals (reach, frequency, audience targeting basics)
Familiarity with media tools (e.g., MediaTools/Prisma, MRI, ComScore, or similar platforms)
Proficiency in Excel and strong attention to detail
Strong communication skills and ability to contribute to presentations
Highly organized, collaborative, and solution-oriented

Compensation Range: USD $60,800.00 - USD $84,000.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
