Role: Medicaid Eligibility Business Analyst

Job description:

 

The Eligibility Business Analyst evaluates current business processes and identifies potential areas for improvement. They facilitate meetings among internal/external teams, develop business requirements, refine user stories, assist with project planning, execute testing and communicate with the development teams to ensure products meet business/customer needs. The following is a high level overview of job responsibilities:

 

  1. Gather and analyze data to identify specific business opportunities
  2. Convert business requirements into smaller user stories
  3. Write clear and well-structured business requirements
  4. Communicate and validate requirements with relevant stakeholders
  5. Collaborate with various teams to manage the backlog
  6. Update and maintain requirements and documentation traceability (Business Requirement Document/ADO/ServiceNow)
  7. Assist with product requirement testing and monitoring reported defects
  8. Test and evaluate business processes to recommend improvements
  9. Create reports, dashboards and visualizations to help others understand business performance
  10. Analyze process deficiencies and bottlenecks to make improvements
  11. Execute well-thought-out solutions and plans to improve product efficiencies
  12. Assist with project management responsibilities
  13. Identify automation opportunities

 

The Eligibility Business Analyst should be comfortable with the below skills:

  4. Strong working knowledge of overall Microsoft suite applications

  7. Experience in generating process documentation and reports
  8. Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions
  9. Demonstrated project management software skills, including planning, organizing, and managing resources
  10. Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) processes
  11. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing skills, with an ability to translate data into actionable insights

 

Required Skills/Experience:

 

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Analysis, Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  2. Two or more years of experience in a Business/Systems Analyst or Quality Assurance role
  3. Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, verification, and methodology development, deriving requirements and testing
