    Description

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Identify Medicaid agency contacts and policy change processes for target states, as identified in the Medicaid Strategic Plan
    • Partner with the GeneDx sales team to identify state-specific KOLs in support of policy change initiatives
    • Prepare and customize Medicaid policy change submissions and meeting materials for target states
    • Communicate Medicaid coverage and reimbursement updates to internal stakeholders, such as sales, marketing, communications, and revenue cycle management
    • Manage special programs and billing pilots, maintaining strong relationships with cross-functional colleagues
    • Provide Medicaid market access and reimbursement support to Regional Market Access and Sales colleagues and other key internal stakeholders within assigned states

    QUALIFICATIONS & CRITICAL SKILLS

    • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Business, Marketing, or other related field
    • 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in market access and/or payor policy
    • 2+ years of experience in the genetics/genomics industry is strongly preferred
    • Working knowledge of the Medicaid payor landscape
    • Demonstrated ability to simplify and communicate complex information
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Highly adaptable in a rapidly changing environment
    • Demonstrated computer skills, including high proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Excel, Word and PowerPoint as well as the Office 365 environment.
    • Desire to independently manage priorities and workday in a remote setting
    • Travel as necessary for business-critical meetings (~20% of the time)
