The Medicaid Coordinator supports the agency’s financial operations and compliance efforts by coordinating Medicaid-related processes, billing activities, and program administration. This position assists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of County Board Medicaid policies and procedures and performs billing functions across multiple funding sources, including Medicaid Administrative Claiming (MAC), Targeted Case Management (TCM), and Title XX services.
The Medicaid Coordinator assists in monitoring Medicaid expenditures, including waiver and non-waiver services, and analyzes trends and changes for budget planning purposes. The position also serves as the agency’s HIPAA Privacy Officer, ensuring the protection of confidential information from unauthorized use or disclosure and promoting compliance with applicable privacy regulations.
In addition, the Coordinator provides oversight and support for the MAC program, maintains related policies and procedures, and ensures effective implementation of program requirements. Responsibilities also include maintaining public records in accordance with applicable retention schedules and assisting with Ohio Department of Education (ODE) and Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) grant activities, including applications, cash requests, and reporting requirements. The position works closely with the CFO/Business Manager and other agency departments to support fiscal accountability and regulatory compliance.
Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible work experience in a related field, preferably involving governmental finance, Medicaid billing and compliance, public sector financial administration, or healthcare/developmental disabilities services.
