Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant II to provide both clinical and administrative support in a fast-paced outpatient environment. This role serves as the first point of contact for patient care and plays a critical role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered service.
This is a full-time, onsite opportunity with potential for extension or permanent placement based on performance.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for patients, delivering excellent customer service
  • Perform clinical duties including:
    • Taking vital signs
    • Administering injections
    • Collecting specimens and drawing blood
    • Performing basic diagnostic tests
    • Preparing exam rooms and sterilizing equipment
  • Gather and document patient information accurately in electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Assist physicians and nurses in delivering direct patient care
  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, documentation, and data entry
  • Maintain compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Support a high-volume environment with efficiency, accuracy, and professionalism

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of recent Medical Assistant experience in a clinical (back-office) setting
  • Active Medical Assistant certification or registration (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
  • Current CPR certification
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Outlook and EMR systems
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Willingness to participate in required health screenings

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Bilingual abilities
  • Hands-on phlebotomy experience
  • Experience with electronic medical records systems
  • Familiarity with HEDIS measures
  • Additional certifications such as Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
