Location: Fort Worth, TX 76116

Pay Rate: Up to $ 24.30/hour

Contract Duration: July 20, 2026 – November 27, 2026

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Dress Code: Scrubs

Position Summary


Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support daily clinical operations within a fast-paced outpatient healthcare environment. This role provides direct support to physicians, advanced practice clinicians, nurses, and patients by assisting with examinations, performing clinical procedures within scope of practice, maintaining accurate medical documentation, and ensuring a safe, organized patient care environment.


The ideal candidate is a patient-focused healthcare professional with strong clinical skills, including phlebotomy, EKGs, specimen collection, medication administration, and electronic medical record documentation . Candidates who demonstrate excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to provide exceptional patient support will thrive in this role.


Key Responsibilities


+ Perform clinical duties within the scope of Medical Assistant practice to support physicians, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff.

+ Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining medical histories, documenting information, and ensuring patient readiness.

+ Room patients according to established policies and procedures.

+ Measure and document patient information accurately within the medical record.

+ Assist providers during patient examinations and clinical procedures.

+ Perform patient-oriented procedures and medication administration permitted under Medical Assistant scope of practice.

+ Collect blood specimens through venipuncture and perform non-invasive specimen collection procedures.

+ Perform EKGs and operate diagnostic equipment according to established protocols (without interpreting results).

+ Obtain cultures and perform wound care activities, including dressing changes, as directed.

+ Perform quality control checks on clinical equipment and ensure proper functionality.

+ Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked exam and treatment rooms.

+ Follow infection prevention standards, safety protocols, and organizational policies.

+ Maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.

+ Provide professional, courteous communication with patients and healthcare team members.

+ Support patient care coordination as directed by providers and organizational standards.

+ Perform telephone and in-person patient intake activities, including gathering and documenting information.

+ Complete additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications


Education & Certification


+ Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.

+ Current nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification required.

+ Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers required .


Experience


+ Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience preferred .

+ Prior experience in an outpatient, ambulatory, or clinical healthcare setting preferred.


Required Skills


+ Strong knowledge of medical terminology.

+ Proficiency with basic computer systems and electronic medical records.

+ Strong patient communication and customer service skills.

+ Demonstrated phlebotomy experience.

+ Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations.

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.


Preferred Qualifications


+ Experience with ICD-10 and CPT coding.

+ Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

+ Previous experience supporting physicians in a busy outpatient clinic environment.


Work Environment


+ Onsite outpatient healthcare setting.

Pay Details: $22.00 to $24.30 per hour
