    Job Title: Medical Assistant (AMB)Location:  Spokane, WA 99204Shift: Day Shift – 7:00 AM to 5:30 PMJob Type: Per Diem

    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Medical Assistant (Ambulatory Care) to join our healthcare team in Spokane, WA. The Medical Assistant will provide both clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient patient care in an outpatient setting. The ideal candidate is organized, patient-focused, and committed to delivering high-quality healthcare services.

    Responsibilities:

    • Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints.
    • Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures.
    • Perform routine clinical tasks, including specimen collection, EKGs, injections, and point-of-care testing (as permitted by state regulations).
    • Schedule patient appointments and coordinate referrals.
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
    • Clean, stock, and prepare examination rooms and medical equipment.
    • Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
    • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
    • Adhere to infection control, HIPAA, and safety standards.
    • Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations.

    Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or GED required.
    • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
    • Current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent) preferred or required per facility policy.
    • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
    • Minimum of one (1) year of recent Medical Assistant experience in an ambulatory, outpatient, or clinic setting preferred.
    • Experience with EMR systems preferred.
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and patient care skills.
