Job Summary
Position: Medical Assistant - Benton County
Department: Community Health Centers of Benton and Linn Counties (CHC), a five-clinic integrated primary care system across Benton and Linn Counties. For more information about the CHC visit: https://www.facebook.com/BentonLinnCHCs/
POSITION SUMMARY
Medical Assistants work with health care providers to deliver primary care to clients of the Community Health Center by preparing patients for physical exams, recording health information, phlebotomy, collecting specimens, performing screening tests, and performing administrative/clerical duties related to the patient care process.
MAs work in a patient centered, team-based care delivery model. This position provides support to proactive patient care and care coordination.
Work location:
Clinic Highlights: Primary Care, Community Health Workers, Behaviorists, Nurse Care Coordinators. Works closely with Benton County Behavioral Health Providers
Please note: This position will require coverage at multiple clinic sites.
Mileage reimbursement available per county guidelines.
UNDERFILL OPTION:
The goal is to fill this position as a Medical Assistant. However, applicants who can meet the minimum qualifications for the Medical Assistant within one year or less of on-the-job training are encouraged to apply as "underfill" candidates. Employees hired into the Medical Assistant level position as an underfill will be hired as a Medical Assistant underfill and then re-classified to the Medical Assistant upon passing trial service and meeting the minimum qualifications for that classification.

Minimum Qualifications
The following minimum qualifications are required for this position:
Medical Assistant - Health Care Technician 1 (HCT21)
Medical Assistant Underfill - Health Care Assistant 3 (HCA13)

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
Applicants must have at least 6 months of actual work experience to receive equivalency.
