Job Details

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Bilingual Medical Assistant (Korean/English) to join our growing healthcare team. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced physicians and clinical staff while providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, clinically skilled, and passionate about creating a positive experience for every patient. In this role, you will support providers with both clinical and administrative responsibilities while serving as a valuable resource for our Korean-speaking patient population.

Responsibilities
Greet and room patients while providing exceptional customer service and compassionate care.
Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, medications, and chief complaints.
Prepare exam rooms and patients for physician examinations and procedures.
Assist providers during examinations, treatments, and in-office procedures.
Administer injections, immunizations, and other treatments as directed by the provider while following all clinical safety protocols.
Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, EKGs, and other clinical duties as needed.
Accurately document patient information within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, follow-up appointments, and provider instructions.
Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, prescription refill requests, and diagnostic testing.
Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms while ensuring compliance with OSHA and infection control standards.
Communicate fluently in both Korean and English to assist patients and families throughout their visit, helping ensure clear understanding of medical instructions and treatment plans.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to deliver outstanding patient care.

Qualifications
2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician office or outpatient healthcare setting preferred.
Fluency in Korean and English (spoken and written) is required.
Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent) preferred or required based on state regulations.
Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
Experience administering injections, performing patient intake, and assisting with clinical procedures.
Phlebotomy and EKG experience preferred.
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, infection control practices, and patient confidentiality requirements (HIPAA).
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize responsibilities and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
