Medical Assistant (CFHC)

Overview

Help care for patients and keep the office running smoothly at our beautiful, newly renovated family health center in Bloomington, IL. Daytime hours; no weekends or holidays. This part-time position is eligible for a sign-on bonus!

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, schedule appointments, and answer phones. • Review patient charts to identify care gaps. • Obtain outside records. • Gather paperwork. • Room patients. • Perform screenings, take vital signs, and gather health history. • Document information in electronic medical record. • Administer, evaluate and document point of care (waived) tests with structured guidance and oversight. • Perform and document phlebotomy services. • Assist providers with medical examinations.

Qualifications

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; successful completion of Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant training program; current CMA or CNA certification; excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; basic computer skills; experience using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as an electronic medical record; the ability to assist in common medical and office procedures.

Compensation

The anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $18.00 - $20.50 an hour. There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education, experience, local market conditions, and internal equity.
