Description

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's medical facility in Mount Kisco, NY 10549. This is a 3+ month contract assignment (convertible to permanent based on your work performance). and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

  • Location: Mount Kisco, NY 10549
  • Job Type: 3+ months contract to Hire
  • Schedule: - Monday-Friday 8 am - 5 pm
  • Office Hours: 8 am - 5 pm
  • Pay Range: $20-$23/hr. on W2

Specific Duties:

  • Prepares exam rooms by disinfecting, stocking, and verifying appropriate medications are available
  • Greetings, patients and assist them with signing in and completing paperwork
  • Answers incoming phone calls in a courteous and prompt manner
  • Assisted and accompanied patients to exam rooms
  • Interviews patients and records information into the medical record
  • Measures, collects, and records patient vital signs
  • Performs basic lab testing and other approved tests
  • Prepares specimens for transportation to the lab
  • Assists in the examination and treatment of patients under the clinician's direction
  • Places to follow-up phone calls to patients
  • Performs other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of preferred experience
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent
  • Currently, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification
  • Current CPR and/or BLS certification
  • Experience with vital signs and basic lab tests (urinalysis, pregnancy tests, etc.)
  • Solid computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office

Requirements:

  • Basic computer literacy required, with intermediate Excel skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology required
  • The ability to react calmly and effectively in emergencies is required
  • Good communication and customer service skills required
  • Preferred Education. Experience & Skills
  • At least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant
