The Medical Assistant will provide professional nursing or medical assistant care under supervision or scope of licensure for clinic patients.
Room patients, perform and document vital signs and patient backgrounds.
Coordinate provider schedules and appointment, enter orders and prepare patient charts.
Instruct patients and families as directed within scope of licensure or certification.
Prepare patients and assist medical providers with in-office procedures and prepare and administer medications/immunizations.
Maintain exam rooms and equipment to be within infection control standards.
Ensure appropriate levels of medical supplies for each patient room.
Qualifications: BLS Certification Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers from approved program. (Can be obtained on the job).
Medical Assistant: Certified as a Medical Assistant, or Registered Medical Assistant through an approved accreditor preferred, however can train on the job.
Shift: Working Casual Call, meaning working as needed.
