Responsibilities:

The Medical Assistant II demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the ages of patients served by their department. This position assists the MD/NP/PA in perfoming procedures. Operates, maintains and calibrates all equipment. Ability to supervise Medical Assistant I.

 

The Nuclear Lab MA/Cardiology Technician performs assigned cardiology diagnostic tests, including but not limited to EKGs, treadmills, holters, and event monitors and participates in other departmental needs as assigned. The staff member demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development for all age groups with special emphasis on middle and senior adults. • The staff member must evidence the ability to apply these principles when selecting equipment, performing tests, and interacting with clients and their families. Able to perform manual blood presssures while patient is walking on the treadmill.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Education and Work Experience:
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • A minimum of three years experience as a Medical Assistant or EMT-Paramedic or Military Medic experience.

  • Certification Requirements:
    • Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
    • CPR certification preferred
    • EKG coursework preferred

  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize one or more of the following:
      • Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel
      • Microsoft Outlook
      • Meditech (if applicable to position)
      • Epic (if applicable to position)
      • Performance Manager/NetLearning
    • Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
    • Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
    • Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
    • Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees.
    • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.

    • May be required to travel to satellite offices
Min: USD $19.49/Hr. Max: USD $32.16/Hr. Benefits:
