Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Medical Assistant (MA) to provide both front-office and back-office clinical support in a healthcare setting. The Medical Assistant will assist with patient intake, clinical procedures, documentation, scheduling, and other administrative and clinical activities.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, strong phlebotomy and venipuncture skills, EMR experience, and the ability to provide professional and compassionate patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Support both front-office and back-office clinical operations.
Greet, check in, and room patients.
Obtain, record, and document patient vital signs.
Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture procedures.
Administer vaccines according to established protocols.
Perform EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing.
Schedule patient appointments and assist with related administrative duties.
Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries professionally.
Maintain accurate patient information and clinical documentation in the EMR.
Provide additional clinical support to healthcare providers and staff as needed.
Maintain effective and collaborative relationships with center staff and healthcare team members.
Support health education and patient outreach activities.
Follow established clinical, safety, and infection-control procedures.
Maintain a high level of accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail while providing patient care.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, in addition to an externship.
Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred.
Hands-on experience with phlebotomy and venipuncture.
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience required.
Strong computer skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and patient-service skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
