Cardiology Office | Contract Opportunity

Location: Poughkeepsie, NY
Pay:$23–$25/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
40 hours/week
Contract: October 19, 2026 – January 16, 2027

We are seeking a dependable and personable Medical Office Assistant to join a busy cardiology practice in Poughkeepsie! This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong clinical and administrative skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform EKGs

• Obtain accurate vital signs, including manual blood pressure

• Room patients and complete patient intake

• Document and update information in patient charts

• Prepare, clean, and stock examination rooms

• Provide clinical and clerical support to providers

• Assist with in-office testing and coordination of ancillary services

• Collect, prepare, and process specimens as directed

• Perform general administrative duties associated with patient care

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Bilingual required

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience

• Comfortable performing EKGs and manual blood pressure checks

• Familiarity with medical charting/documentation

• Basic medical terminology and clinical knowledge

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program, EMT certification, OR 3 years of related medical office experience

Preferred:

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

• 2–3 years of medical office experience

• Cardiology experience is a plus
