Primary Location & Hours:
Medical City Dallas Campus: 7777 Forest Lane, Suite C-528, Dallas, TX, 75230
Monday - Thursday: 8:00am - 5:30pm
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform patient intake procedures, including recording vital signs, medical history, and current symptoms with accuracy and compassion.
Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as administering medications, documenting in the chart and post op and minor surgical procedures.
Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems efficiently to document patient information, treatment plans, ICD coding, and medical histories.
Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes clearly and ensuring comfort throughout their visit.
Support medical administrative tasks including appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and maintaining accurate documentation of all patient interactions.
Build and maintain positive working relationships with patients, providers, staff, and external stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior experience working in a medical office is required
Hands-on experience with EHR systems and familiarity with ICD coding is essential for accurate documentation
Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, medication administration, and vital signs measurement
Should have great customer service skills and excellent communication skills as well as be a team player
Basic knowledge of medical office workflows, patient scheduling processes, and healthcare documentation practices.
Education / Experience:
Required:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Prior experience working in a healthcare office, medical practice, clinic, or related healthcare environment
Preferred:
Medical Assistant certification or Medical Office Assistant certification.
Bilingual Spanish with English is preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position operates in a professional office or clinic setting where the noise level is typically low.
