We are a growing specialty medical practice looking for a dependable, patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys both clinical and administrative responsibilities and wants to be part of a supportive, team-oriented environment.
We are looking for someone who is organized, positive, and eager to learn. Depending on experience, there may also be an opportunity to grow into a Lead Medical Assistant role.
About the Role
This position combines hands-on patient care with front office support to help keep clinic operations running smoothly. You'll work closely with providers and staff to create a welcoming and efficient experience for patients while supporting both clinical and administrative workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist providers in the clinical setting
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Obtain and document patient medical histories and vital signs
- Triage patient calls and concerns
- Schedule appointments and manage patient communication
- Verify insurance benefits and obtain prior authorizations
- Patient registration and upfront collections
- Maintain accurate patient records and data entry in EMR systems
- Support front and back office operations as needed
Skills & Experience
- Medical Assistant experience preferred
- Medical Assisting Certification required
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with EMR systems
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable supporting both clinical and administrative duties
