    We are looking for an energetic, outgoing and friendly individual to join our growing team as a full-time medical assistant with strong experience in Dermatology or a related field.

    Requirements: * MINIMUM 12 months experience working as a medical assistant in a Dermatology or related medical office setting. * Exceptional customer service with a commitment to maintaining a positive attitude at all times. * Must be comfortable interacting with patients, showing great passion and knowledge for helping others. * Strong verbal communication. * The right candidate will have a strong work ethic and be organized & detail oriented. * Must be self-motivated, able to assess what needs to be done, find a solution and execute to solve problems. * Ability to prioritize, multi-task and stay calm under pressure. * Strong communication skills are needed as daily work requires significant patient and provider interaction. * Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, medical staff and insurance companies. * Professional appearance, consistent attendance, punctuality and reliable transportation. * At least Intermediate user of the Internet, MS Word & Excel as well as the ability to learn new software quickly. * Experience with EMA strongly preferred.

    Duties include but are not limited to: *Room patients and enter data into EMR system. *Helping in any area needed including, greeting patients and providing check-in & out services if the front office needs assistance, including the collection of co-pays & monies due. *Input medication orders and discharge instructions. *Complete prior authorizations for medications as required. *Complete patient reactivation and follow up phone calls. *Injecting patients subQ/IM with steroids or infiltration of local area anesthetic as directed by physician. *Assisting with in-office surgery, cleaning and preparing / sterilizing instruments. *Patient callbacks regarding lab results or further treatment scheduling *Miscellaneous other medical or office duties as required.
