Medical Assistant

Heart and Vascular Center of West Tennessee is looking to add a Medical Assistant to our office. Our ever-growing cardiovascular and primary care clinic is looking for a great addition to our team. Our growing practice currently has 5 locations: Jackson, Dyersburg, Lexington, Ripley, and McKenzie.. This position does require some travel to our area offices.

Our ideal candidate may possess the following qualities:

• Hardworking and punctual
• Team player
• Comfortable with various computer functions and web based programs, such as Allscripts.
• Organized and detail oriented
• A quick learner
• Has prior experience with cardiovascular anatomy, testing, and procedures
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and providers
• Has prior experience in the clinic setting
• Has a passion for delivering amazing patient care
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment

A typical day will include:

• Rooming patient for clinic appointments
  • Obtaining vital signs
  • Completing Review of Systems
  • Verifying the accuracy and updating the patient's chart, including patient history and medications
• Gathering all test results and outside records and updating in the EMR
• Performing EKG

This position does require:

• Can pass a background check and drug screening
• Current CPR certification (preferred)
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Reliable means of transportation
