Role Description The Medical Assistant at Wellspring Behavioral Health supports clinicians and clients by performing both clinical and administrative tasks in an outpatient behavioral health setting. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing clients for appointments, obtaining vital signs and basic health information, updating medical records, and assisting with coordination of therapy and medication management visits. The role also involves managing scheduling, maintaining organized patient charts, supporting communication between clients and providers. This is a Part-time (Tues & Thur 9-5:30pm) , on-site role based in Eagle, ID, requiring consistent collaboration with mental health professionals and office staff to deliver safe, efficient, and client-centered care.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in Medical Assisting, including supporting providers during visits and performing basic clinical tasks.

• Working knowledge of Medical Terminology, with the ability to accurately communicate and document behavioral and general health information.

• Experience in a Medical Office or outpatient clinic setting, including scheduling, front desk support, and general administrative functions.
• \n
• Strong Patient Care skills, with a client-centered approach, professional boundaries, and sensitivity to mental health needs.

• Proficiency in managing Medical Records, including electronic health record (EHR) systems, documentation accuracy, and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).

• Certification or diploma as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred; relevant clinical experience in behavioral health or primary care is beneficial.

• Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and maintain professionalism with clients and families.
