Job Summary
We are a busy Pediatric Practice seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team! We are a compassionate practice dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients.  As  a Medical Assistant, you will be providing support to the physicians and patients.  The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, friendly, dependable, organized and enjoys working with children and families in a fast-paced environment. 


Responsibilities 
  • Room patients and obtain vitals/past medical history
  • Prepare for the patient visit, including pulling charts and notes, as well as setting up medical equipment
  • Administer vaccines
  • Perform hearing and vision screenings
  • Collect specimens
  • Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Clean instruments and equipment after use
  • Answer phones, schedule appointments as needed 
  • Assist doctors with basic medical care and procedures
  • Track lab results and handle basic medical office duties
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certificate
  • Current CPR certification
  • Medical Assistant experience; pediatric experience is a plus
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment
