Job Summary

As a Medical Assistant Float, you provide patient care and medical procedures under supervision. Your role is crucial for smooth medical operations.

Essential Functions of the Role

• You''ll be a versatile resource, providing assistance across various clinics within a set local area.
• You''ll ensure examination rooms are well-prepared and ready to welcome patients.
• You comfort patients, help transition from waiting to exam room, prepare for check-ups.
• You''ll play an essential role in the examination and treatment of patients, working directly under the supervision of a physician.
• During patient interviews, measure pulse and temperature, and record them accurately in their medical history. Engage in essential tasks with patients and record information in their medical history.
• You''ll assume responsibility for the collection, labeling, and delivery of specimens to the laboratory.
• You''ll be an energetic participant in performance improvement activities whenever the opportunity arises.
• You''ll continually enhance your skills and knowledge, attending mandatory in-service education sessions.

QUALIFICATIONS

• EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma or GED Equivalent
• EXPERIENCE - Less than (1) one year of experience

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION

• Basic Life Support (BLS) or obtain within (30) thirty days of hire or transfer.
