Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is continuously accepting applications from Medical Assistants (MAs) and medically trained healthcare professionals interested in joining our Resource Team (Float Pool).
This team is a great fit for healthcare professionals who enjoy variety and working with different providers, clinical teams, and patient populations. As a Resource Pool team member, you’ll play an important role in keeping our clinics running smoothly by providing coverage and support where needed based on staffing and operational needs.
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, worked as five 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday during daytime hours. This position also includes a Saturday coverage requirement of approximately twice per quarter. You choose your Saturdays; when scheduled and if you are called in to cover, the Saturday shift is 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
- Travel: Travel between all five BMC locations in Boulder County is required. Our clinics are located in Boulder (2 locations), Louisville, Longmont, and Erie. Mileage expenses are eligible for reimbursement.

Job Duties:
- Perform clinic administrative duties, including but not limited to, answering incoming telephone calls, obtaining and/or verifying patient information, patient check in/out, coordinate and facilitate accurate patient appointment
- Obtain patient medical history, vital signs, chart preparation, medication dosage and frequency, patient allergens, and assist with medical examinations
- Maintain accurate and strict confidentiality of patient information in electronic and/or manual systems as established by the appropriate protocols, regulations, and policies
- Preparing examination room, ensuring proper equipment is present and room is adequately stocked
- Document all aspects of the patient encounter on an electronic medical record system

Required Experience:
- Must be able to recognize and identify patient’s symptoms and use appropriate professional judgment in course of action.

Education Requirements (one of the following options):
- Completion of Medical Assistant education. *Certification is not required but preferred.
- Other completed medical training, education, and proof of active certification is an acceptable substitution of Medical Assistant specific credentials. (Examples include but are not limited to: EMT, Surgical Tech, CNA, etc.).
- Military medical training and education with supporting documentation is an acceptable substitution of Medical Assistant specific credentials.
- College graduates with a completed four (4) year bachelor's degree is an acceptable substitution of Medical Assistant specific credentials. *College transcripts must reflect completed health science course work. Please submit a copy of your unofficial college transcripts at the time of applying.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant (MA) in a clinic setting, preferred
The starting hourly pay range for this position is commensurate with experience:
