    We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Hospital Assistant 3 to enhance our primary care services. The ideal candidate will possess strong medical assistant skills, including phlebotomy, and have a background in primary or family medicine.     Salary Information

    The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

    Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

    • Medical Assistant certification with phlebotomy skills.
    • At least 1 year of experience in primary/family medicine.
    • Minimum 6 months of experience performing blood draws for adults and pediatric patients.
    • Proficiency in APeX/Epic and MyChart InBasket messaging.
    • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
    • Familiarity with Epic''s electronic health record system is preferred.
    • Experience with immunization cycles and disease registry tracking is an asset.
    • Background in Internal Medicine, Primary Care, or Family Medicine settings is desirable.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
    • Perform medical assisting duties under the supervision of licensed healthcare providers.
    • Conduct patient assessments, take vital signs, and collect specimens.
    • Assist with minor procedures and treatments as directed.
    • Prepare patients for examinations and provide post-examination instructions.
    • Administer medications and immunizations as authorized.
    • Perform blood draws and collect laboratory specimens.
    • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
    • Stay updated with medical protocols and best practices.
    • Support the healthcare team in achieving practice goals.
    • Perform medical assisting duties under the supervision of licensed healthcare providers.
