Job Summary

The Medical Assistant Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in a 5.5-month Medical Assistant training program. This position prepares students for entry-level employment by providing classroom instruction, laboratory demonstrations, hands-on clinical skills training, and professional development. The instructor fosters a positive learning environment, evaluates student progress, and ensures students meet program competencies and industry standards. Essential Duties & Responsibilities ? Deliver classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction in accordance with the approved curriculum. ? Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, presentations, and laboratory activities. ? Teach clinical skills including, but not limited to: ? Vital signs ? Venipuncture and capillary blood collection ? Intramuscular (IM), Subcutaneous (SQ), and Intradermal (ID) injections ? Electrocardiograms (EKGs) ? Infection control and OSHA standards ? Specimen collection and processing ? Medication administration principles ? Assisting with patient examinations and procedures ? Teach administrative medical assisting topics including: ? Medical terminology ? Electronic Health Records (EHR) ? Medical office procedures ? Scheduling and appointment management ? Insurance basics ? Medical documentation ? Professional communication and customer service ? Evaluate student learning through written examinations, practical skills assessments, assignments, and competency evaluations. ? Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and student records in accordance with school policies. ? Provide academic advising, mentoring, tutoring, and constructive feedback to support student success. ? Maintain a safe, clean, and organized laboratory and classroom environment. ? Monitor and enforce safety protocols and infection control practices. ?
