Ready to make a difference in patients' lives every day? At Konza Prairie Community Health Center, our Medical Assistants are at the heart of care-supporting providers, improving access, and creating a positive patient experience.

We're looking for a motivated, compassionate Medical Assistant (MA) to join our growing team!

Schedule & Perks

• Full-time, Monday-Friday
• Clinics close at 2 PM every Friday
• Up to 200 hours (5 weeks) PTO annually

Key Responsibilities

• Room patients, take vitals, and update medical histories
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments
• Perform point-of-care testing and specimen collection
• Administer injections and medications as ordered
• Triage patient calls (urgent vs. non-urgent needs)
• Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and follow-ups
• Communicate with pharmacies for prescriptions and refills
• Document accurately in the EHR/EMR (eClinicalWorks)
• Educate patients on care plans and next steps
• Travel between Konza clinic locations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent healthcare education, training, or military medical experience.
• Minimum of one (1) year of direct Medical Assistant experience required for applicants without formal Medical Assistant education.
• Current CPR certification for Healthcare Providers

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA)
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience administering medications, treatments, and immunizations.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a primary care setting.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
