Position OverviewThe Medical Assistant plays a vital role in delivering both excellent clinical care and exceptional guest experience. This position blends technical skill with a service mindset-supporting providers, guiding guests through their care, and ensuring every interaction is efficient, professional, and personalized.Medical Assistants work closely with providers and the broader care team to prepare for visits, carry out clinical procedures, and help guests clearly understand their treatment plans. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and genuinely enjoys helping others feel cared for and confident in their health journey. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesDeliver high-quality clinical care with a guest-centered, service-oriented approachPrepare for guest visits by reviewing and updating medical history, medications, and chief concernsAccurately document all interactions and care in eClinicalWorks (eCW)Obtain vital signs and perform rooming in (intake) efficiently and professionallyPerform phlebotomy and injections per provider ordersAdminister IV therapy once trained and authorizedEnter, prepare, and coordinate lab orders according to provider preferencesProcess, label, and prepare specimens for outside laboratory pickupRetrieve, upload, and reconcile lab and diagnostic results into guest chartsAssist providers during visits by updating treatment plans and ensuring accuracy of documentationClearly communicate treatment recommendations to guests both in person and by phoneCoordinate with labs, pharmacies, and outside medical facilities as neededMonitor and manage clinical inboxes, responding promptly and appropriatelyPrepare and manage specialty testing kits and portalsPerform diagnostic procedures such as EKG, spirometry, and carotid ultrasound once trainedMaintain exam rooms, ensuring supplies are stocked and organizedOrder medical supplies as neededStay informed on services offered and confidently educate guests when appropriateSupport team operations with additional clinical or administrative tasks as neededComplete all documentation and responsibilities prior to leaving each day(This list outlines the general responsibilities of the role but is not exhaustive.)
