We are seeking a reliable and patient‑focused Medical Office Assistant to support daily clinical and administrative operations in a busy healthcare setting. This position plays a key role in patient flow, documentation accuracy, and maintaining a professional, welcoming environment.
Room patients according to established procedures and prepare them for examinations.
Document patient care information accurately and promptly in the medical record.
Coordinate patient care following physician direction and organizational standards.
Maintain patient confidentiality and deliver courteous, respectful service.
Organize, stock, and clean exam and treatment rooms; sterilize instruments.
Follow standard infection control precautions.
Conduct telephone and in‑person intake screening (non‑clinical judgment tasks).
Support data reporting and tracking for HEDIS measures.
Process referral authorizations and DME requests.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED.
Medical Assistant Certification (required).
Intermediate computer skills, including Excel proficiency.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations.
1–2 years of customer service experience.
Familiarity with ICD‑10 and CPT coding.
