Certifications/Licenses:
- BLS
- Pediatric Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)
- Schedule: 4x10hr, 0730-1800 (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday // OFF THURSDAYS AND WEEKENDS)
- Experience: 1 year of experience working as an MA-C in an adult outpatient clinic setting
- Skills Required:
- VITAL SIGNS
- Hearing screening
- Obtain Vital Signs
- Vision testing
- PREPARE FOR EXAM: Record History/Medications/Allergies
- SET UP AND ASSIST WITH PROCEDURES: Nebulizer Treatments
- INJECTIONS: Immunizations
- SPECIMEN COLLECTION
- Labeling of specimens
- Throat
- Urine - UA/Clean Catch
- Venipuncture
- LABORATORY TESTS: Blood Glucose via Glucometer
- OFFICE DUTIES
- Pharmacy calls/patient refill requests
- Telephone Triage
- PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Administration of TB Test
- Follow up phone calls
- Rooming Patients
- Suture Removal
- Type of Facility: Pediatric Clinic (busy pediatric clinic environment)
- Charting: EPIC (experience preferred)
- Parking: Free parking available on site
