Employment Type: Contract (7+ Weeks, Potential Extension)
Schedule:
- Monday & Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Tuesday & Thursday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Medical Assistant to support both front and back office operations in a clinical setting. This role requires a well-rounded candidate who can efficiently manage patient interactions, clinical tasks, and administrative responsibilities while maintaining a high level of patient care and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet, check-in, and room patients
- Take and record vital signs
- Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture and specimen collection
- Administer vaccines and injections as needed
- Conduct EKG and point-of-care (POC) testing
- Assist providers with clinical procedures and patient care
- Manage appointment scheduling and phone calls
- Maintain accurate Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Support both front and back office operations
- Ensure a positive and collaborative work environment
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience(in addition to externship)
- Experience with:
- Phlebotomy / Venipuncture(required)
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Strong communication and patient interaction skills
- Excellent attention to detail and computer proficiency
Must-Have Skills:
- Front and back-office experience
- Phlebotomy
- EKG
- Point-of-Care (POC) testing
- Scheduling and patient coordination
- Rooming patients and taking vitals
- BLS or CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Medical Assistant Certification(strongly preferred)
- Occupational Health experience(preferred)

- Clinical outpatient setting
- Fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Requires strong multitasking and patient care skills
