We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to provide both front-office and back-office support in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will assist with patient registration, scheduling, rooming, vital signs, phlebotomy, vaccinations, and other clinical responsibilities.
The Medical Assistant will work closely with healthcare providers and clinical staff to support efficient daily operations, deliver quality patient care, and maintain a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
Greet patients, assist with check-in, and prepare patients for appointments.
Perform patient rooming and obtain relevant medical histories.
Measure and document vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and oxygen saturation.
Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture procedures.
Administer vaccinations and provide clinical support as directed.
Perform EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing.
Schedule patient appointments and manage incoming telephone calls.
Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic medical records (EMR).
Provide support for both front-office and back-office operations.
Assist healthcare providers with clinical procedures and daily patient care.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment.
Follow established clinical protocols and infection-control procedures.
Provide patients with appropriate information regarding healthcare services.
Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and other members of the clinical team.
Support smooth day-to-day clinic operations.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience, excluding externship experience.
Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred.
Phlebotomy and venipuncture experience required.
Previous experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) required.
BLS or CPR certification required.
Strong front-office and back-office medical assisting experience.
Experience performing EKGs and point-of-care testing.
Experience with patient scheduling, rooming, and obtaining vital signs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Good computer skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented healthcare environment.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
