Title: Medical Assistant

Location: Storm Lake, IA

Duration: 8-Week Contract

Schedule:

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

  • Tuesday & Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Position Overview:

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support both front and back office operations in a busy healthcare setting. The Medical Assistant will assist with patient care, clinical procedures, scheduling, and administrative responsibilities while ensuring excellent patient service and efficient clinic workflow.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support front and back office clinical operations

  • Greet, room, and prepare patients for provider visits

  • Obtain and accurately document patient vital signs

  • Perform blood draws and venipuncture procedures

  • Administer vaccines as directed by providers

  • Assist with EKGs and Point of Care (POC) testing

  • Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow-up care

  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with inquiries

  • Maintain and update Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

  • Support providers and clinical staff throughout daily operations

  • Ensure smooth patient flow and positive patient experience

  • Maintain clean and organized patient care areas

  • Follow clinic safety, infection control, and compliance standards

Required Qualifications:

  • 2–3 years of Medical Assistant experience required

  • Front and back office experience required

  • Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required

  • EKG experience required

  • Point of Care (POC) testing experience required

  • Patient scheduling experience required

  • Patient rooming and vital signs experience required

  • EMR experience required

  • Current BLS or CPR certification required

  • Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills required

  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred

  • Occupational Health experience strongly preferred

  • Experience with health education and patient outreach preferred
