Medical Assistant

Duration - 12-Week Contract 

Location: New Berlin, WI 53151

Pay Rate: $22–$24/hour

Work Schedule

• Monday: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM

• Tuesday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

• Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

• Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

• Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Medical Assistant to provide front- and back-office support in a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will assist with patient registration, scheduling, rooming, vital signs, phlebotomy, vaccinations, and other clinical duties as needed.

The Medical Assistant will work closely with the center's staff to ensure smooth daily operations and deliver quality patient care. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient education and outreach are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients, assist with registration, and prepare them for appointments.

• Room patients and record vital signs.

• Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture.

• Administer vaccines as directed.

• Perform EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing.

• Schedule appointments and answer incoming phone calls.

• Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic medical records (EMR).

• Provide front- and back-office support as needed.

• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care.

• Support health education and outreach initiatives.

• Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, excluding externship experience.

• Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required.

• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience required.

• Strong attention to detail and effective patient communication skills.

• Good computer and administrative skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a clinical environment.

• Current BLS or CPR certification.
