Description

Pride Health is hiring a CMA for the New York, NY location to support our client in a Healthcare Setting. 

This is a temporary assignment opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant

Location: New York, NY

Schedule - 40hr/ week

27 weeks contract 

Monday–Thursday: 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM
Friday: 7:45 AM – 4:00 PM

Pay- $21 to $23/hr on W2

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care and support physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals during examinations and procedures.
  • Escort and room patients in a timely manner while ensuring a positive patient experience.
  • Obtain and document vital signs, vision screenings, and other authorized clinical assessments.
  • Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection, ensuring accurate labeling and laboratory processing.
  • Process specimens for transport and maintain proper documentation in EPIC.
  • Prepare electronic prescriptions for physician review and processing.
  • Clean, sterilize, and maintain clinical instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
  • Communicate patient needs and concerns effectively to the healthcare team.
  • Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and organizational policies.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a medical office, clinic, or hospital setting.
  • Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • Strong clinical skills and patient care experience.
  • Knowledge of EPIC or other electronic medical record systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
