JOB SUMMARY The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting the Radiologists, Physicians Assistants, and Imaging Technologists with daily activities of the healthcare facility. The Medical Assistant performs their assigned duties under the supervision of a physician. They are responsible for administrative as well as clinical tasks, such as maintaining patient records, preparing patients and rooms for examination, assisting physicians with exams, and performing front-desk tasks. Additional duties include maintaining adequate supplies in exam rooms, answering telephone inquiries, data entry and laundry. REPORTING STRUCTURE Reports To: Medical Assistant Supervisor Supervision Exercised: None ESSENTIAL DUTIES This position requires regular reliable attendance. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, as the consequences of even a minor mistake can be significant for patients and providers.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Previous experience in a health care setting is preferred but on the job training may be provided. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. CPR certification required.
