Scribe Skills Preferred - or Willingness to Train

A key component of this position involves medical scribing, including documenting provider-patient interactions in real time. Previous scribing experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who is motivated to learn and develop these skills.

Responsibilities Include

• Support providers by preparing patients for examinations and procedures
• Collect and document vital signs and patient histories
• Scribe during medical examinations or complete training to become a medical scribe
• Ensure examination rooms and medical equipment are properly maintained
• Collaborate with clinical staff to coordinate patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information
• Contribute to quality initiatives and organizational standards, including QA/PI, HEDIS, PCMH, and other accreditation requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Current Medical Assistant certification preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Basic computer and electronic health record (EHR) skills
• Working knowledge of insurance types is a plus
