    Medical Assistant

    Trinity Employment Specialists – Tulsa, OK

    Schedule: Monday–Friday | Day Shift
    Compensation: Competitive Pay DOE | Temp-to-Perm

    Position Summary

    Trinity Employment Specialists is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified or Registered Medical Assistant to join a busy specialty clinic in Tulsa. This position is ideal for an experienced Medical Assistant who enjoys providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting. Candidates with oncology experience are highly preferred, although applicants with strong clinical experience in other specialties are encouraged to apply.

    Medical Assistant Responsibilities

    • Escort patients to and from exam rooms, provider offices, and treatment areas while ensuring a positive patient experience.
    • Obtain and accurately document patient information, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, medication updates, and changes in medical history.
    • Verify that all required medical records, laboratory results, imaging reports, and signed consents are available prior to patient treatment or procedures.
    • Prepare, clean, stock, and organize exam and treatment rooms while maintaining appropriate inventory of medical supplies.
    • Assist providers with patient examinations and clinical procedures as needed.
    • Provide patient education by distributing educational materials and reinforcing provider instructions.
    • Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) as ordered by the provider.
    • Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections, including hormone therapies and biologic growth factors, in accordance with provider orders.
    • Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control guidelines, including maintaining exam room disinfection protocols.
    • Clean, sterilize, and process medical instruments and equipment according to established procedures.
    • Maintain daily clinical triage workflows and assist with patient chart management.
    • Answer incoming patient calls, document concerns, and route calls appropriately to providers, nurses, or pharmacists.
    • Call in prescriptions and communicate provider instructions to patients as directed.
    • Coordinate patient referrals, diagnostic testing, procedures, hospital admissions, and follow-up appointments.
    • Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
    • Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
    • Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential required.
    • Minimum of one year of recent Medical Assistant experience in a physician office or specialty clinic preferred.
    • Oncology experience is strongly preferred.
    • Experience performing EKGs and administering injections required.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and infection control standards.
    • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems preferred.
    • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
    • Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care while working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
