looking for a dependable and compassionate Medical Assistant to support healthcare providers in delivering quality patient care. In this role, you'll work closely with physicians and nurses by assisting with patient exams, collecting basic health information, preparing exam rooms, and helping keep the clinic running smoothly.

Schedule is 7am-3pm
12 week contract with a possibility to be extended. No weekend or holidays
What You'll Do
Welcome and prepare patients for exams and medical procedures.
Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, height, and weight.
Perform EKGs and collect lab specimens when needed.
Assist physicians and nurses during patient visits and treatments.
Monitor patients and report any changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
Prepare, clean, disinfect, and restock exam rooms between patients.
Keep medical equipment and supplies clean, organized, and fully stocked.
Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Protect patient privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Follow all workplace safety policies, procedures, and infection control guidelines.
Work as part of a team to provide excellent patient care.
Qualifications
At least 6 months of recent Medical Assistant clinical experience within the past two years.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
Strong clinical and patient care skills.
Ability to accurately document patient information.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Reliable, professional, and compassionate.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a physician's office, clinic, outpatient setting, or correctional healthcare.
Experience performing EKGs, obtaining vital signs, and collecting laboratory specimens.
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.
Requirements
Current Medical Assistant certification or credentials, if required by the employer.
Current BLS/CPR certification.
Ability to pass all required health screenings and background requirements before starting employment.
Professional references that demonstrate strong clinical performance.
